REMOVE A FOLLOWER

For reasons only you know, you may want to remove a follower at one point in the game. Allow me to show you how.

1. Choose a follower you want to delete. Press hold the follower's icon/photo.

2. The photo will now have a red frame. Click the X button.

3. You will be prompted with a confirmation message. Choose YES if you're sure. NO if otherwise.

4. Voila! Follower removed already. Check my number of followers. From 14, it's now down to 13.

EXACT BOAT ORDERS

We can check the items we will be needing on the next boat by simply clicking on the dock, right? But did you know there is a way to check the exact number of items needed? Yes, there is! No more over hoarding of popcorns and breads. Now we can just stock up the exact number of items we need. Follow the steps below.

(Note: only tested with iOs device. I have yet to try this method on an android device.)

1. Check your next boat order by clicking on your dock. You will then see your next Load Cargo.

2. Swipe upward the bottom part of your screen and quickly change the setting of your device from WiFi Mode to Airplane/Flight Mode. For iPhone users, you may need to double click your Home/Menu button to find the quick settings. This is an important step to make sure you will not lose any diamond in the next step.

3. Swipe the settings down and go back to your game without reconnecting. You then have to click the Get Boat Now button that costs 5 diamonds. Do not be afraid. Because you are on Airplane/Flight Mode, there is no internet connection. Hence, you will not be charged. This is why it is important you do Step 2 correctly.

4. You will get your next boat. Notice that 5 diamonds was deducted. Again, I say, if you did Step 2 correctly, do not fret. Click the boat.

5. You now see the exact number of items you need. Take note of them.

6. Now, let us exit the game, shall we? This is an important step again. We have to make sure that we exit the game. Either by quick swipe like the photo below or by clicking the home button thus closing the game (stay on the home page for a bit to make sure the game has closed entirely).

7. Now, are you sure the game's closed? Then turn the Airplane/Flight Mode OFF and turn the WiFi Mode ON so we can have connection again.

8. Open the game again.

9. Check your boat and diamonds. Everything is back to where it was before we first turned the Airplane/Flight Mode on. :)

CAST THAT BOAT OFF!

Did you know you can simply refuse to fill those boat crates? I've met a lot of players, who surprisingly, didn't know this very handy option before! That darn boat can be so demanding at times. And in those times, you just have to reject it! 

Here's how:

1. Upon the arrival of the boat, do not try to fill any of the crate. This is very important because once a single crate is filled, you cannot shoo that boat away anymore.

2. Click the boat icon on the bottom right part of the order box.

3. You will be asked if you want to cast the boat off. Of course, choose YES!

4. Say good bye to that boat and let's wait for the next one.

FISHING CIRCLE SIZES

When you go fishing on Hay Day, you can choose which kind of lure to use. We have the regular red lure. And we have the green, blue, violet, and gold voucher lures. And the voucher lures can give you better fishes. But did you know that fishing circle size also matters? Yep! The kind of fish we get also depends on the fishing circle. If we see a big fishing circle, we can expect to get regular fishes or light-weight ones. But if we get the medium or small fishing circles, chances are, we'll get special fishes or heavy ones.

So when you go fishing, take note of the fishing circle size. If you get the big circle, just simply release it and try again until you get a small circle. But be careful, the smaller the circle, the harder it is to lock the fish inside it. Good luck and happy fishing! :)

REFRESH THE NEWSPAPER QUICKLY

A lot of us rely on paper to get good deals, some even log out of the game and log back in just to refresh the paper and find new deals. But I have a more efficient way to refresh the paper and spot deals faster.

1. Click the Settings button. It's on the top left most corner of the page.

2. Click the button with your default language's flag. 

3. Choose a new language.

4. Check back to the paper and hope there are new better deals. ;)

Repeat the process until you're tired or until your barn is full. Lol!

HOW TO GET SPECIAL FISH

If you check your fish book, you will find the different kind of fishes that you have already gotten in your pond. Some of them are special fishes. And you will see that these fishes have violet fish icon on top of their frames. This is the indicator that the fish is special. Some people call them event fishes. I don't like calling them that because it's confusing since we have fishing events that are totally unrelated to these special fishies. So what's the effective way to find these special fishes?

1. Find an available fishing spot. I like the Swampy Fishing Area. This is the spot that is on the right side of the pond with plants around it. (I'll show a map of the pond next time.) Based on experience, this spot has never failed giving me a special fish using this technique.

2. You have to use the voucher lures. These are the green, blue, violet, and gold lures.

3. Make sure that the fishing circle that will appear is the small one. If you get the big fishing circle, just simply release the fish before it gets locked in and try and try and try again until you get the small fishing circle. Sometimes it would need about ten tries before we get the small fishing circle. But hey, try and try until you succeed ;)

4. Get that fish locked in! And voila! A special fish! 

There are cases that you won't get special fish in some areas in the pond. But I assure you, you will get a large regular fish if you follow these steps correctly! ;) And large fish is equal to 3 diamonds!

TOOLS FROM ANIMALS

You can also get barn/silo/land expansion tools, mine tools, saws, and axes from collecting animal produces.

TOOLS FROM CROPS

You can get barn/silo/land expansion tools from harvesting crops. In some instances, you can also get mine tools, saws, and axes from it. Based on my observation, for every 50 crop plots that I harvest, I get one random tool. I am still in the process of tracking down which exact tools we get from crops because according to some forums, we only get certain tools from crops, certain tools from animal produces, and certain tools from trees and bushes. I'll post another update when I get a statistics about them. ;)

Hi everyone! I am HD Farm Girl. I know, not very unique name. Lol! But I think it is very fitting. :) I've been playing HD for quite a while now and I am proud to be able to progress on my own with a little help from friends and zero help from cheats and hacks.
